I can't believe ACat is 12 now! The years are just flying by way too fast. You can certainly see the "sign of the times" in her...you know, the teen years are knocking on her door! Ha!
ACat was able to have a couple of fun celebrations. For her family birthday party, she wanted to go to Carinos and have her yearly cookie cake (her favorite!). When we returned home, she lined up her presents in order of how she wanted to open them. You see, she was looking for one particular gift. The ONE thing she REALLY wanted for her bday.
She searched high and she searched low...
And, it wasn't until she got to one of the LAST presents...the one in the Minnie Mouse wrapping paper...because there's no way that Mommie would pull a joke on ACat and wrap the most important gift in little girl wrapping paper...right? Well...maybe she would! We have to keep things interesting around here somehow!
There it is...her iPod Touch.
Most of her friends got one last year for Christmas, but we made ACat wait and work on some things...like keeping up with important items, getting used to carrying a purse, etc. She's thrilled with it!
Our second celebration involved our close friends from Denver. They were here last week visiting and went with us to Sho-Guns for ACat's birthday. Yum! We had a wonderful few days with them...there's nothing like friends for life!
