5 Big Things

Life has been hectic, but life has been good. We are so thankful for our family and for recent blessings in our lives! We are also grateful for opportunities to support and pray for friends during events in their lives, too. Here is a list of "5 Big Things" that have happened or are happening right now.

5. We are excitedly keeping up with some friends of ours, Christie and Justin Hayes, who are serving in new positions with Parental Care Ministries. Justin just returned from Uganda, and Christie left a couple of days ago to spend this week working in Uganda. It is a wonderful ministry, and we are so happy for them and their new place of service! We are praying for you, guys!


4. Caboose officially graduated from his helmet! He went on the 14th for his final appointment, and on the 20th we received the results from the final measurements and exam. He did SO well with the process! CS and I decided that night that we were done...good-bye Aggie helmet! It joined the Caboose helmet up in the top of the closet until I can decide what to do with them. The main measurement they take is the Cranial Vault Asymmetry. In brief (it isn't so cut and dry!), the normal range is 0-3mm. Over 5mm is considered "medically necessary" to have intervention. Caboose was at 16 mm when we first started this process last July. After his first helmet, he was at 11mm, and our goal was to get as close to 5mm as possible. His final CVA measurement was 6mm!! We are totally thrilled!

3. We were able to attend our final Christmas event on the 15th - CS's Dad's side of the family. We always enjoy this crazy group of people! :-) What do you think about the resemblance between the male line of this family?


2. Acat is officially 11 now! She partied hard and enjoyed it all. We didn't do a blow-out party this year, but she has been doing special things here and there with individual friends. Makes it last longer, doesn't it?!?! Since we went to Dallas the day after her birthday, she selected our lunch spot - Freebirds, her all-time favorite.



The big, fun gifts...an electric scooter and a ripstick!



Here she is with all her loot...we got a kick out of the "list" she compiled. She listed the order she wanted to open the presents, saving the "best" ones for last. She is her mother's daughter! :-)


1. Guess who took 5 Big Steps on the 21st?? Yep, we have a walker! Caboose is working hard to stay upright and is getting better and better with the balance! What a sweet, big boy!
