A Movin' and a Groovin'

We have all been going 90 to nothing these past few weeks. Summer is so much fun but, Boy!, is it exhausting!! I love the "free-ness" of summer...we can stay up late, if needed, and we can sleep late if we want to. We are free to do spur-of-the-moment play dates, and we can decide at a moment's notice to jump in the car for a road or field trip. The trick is having several kids going in opposite directions! But, we are keeping up - somehow!

We will begin our 4th week of swim lessons this week (ACat and Smiley). We have LOVED the new instructor we tried this year. I can't believe how far the girls have progressed! We decided to do a second session because they were moving so fast and we wanted to keep building on that! I think ACat will have all the strokes and diving down after this summer and she shouldn't need any more lessons in the future. With the lessons, we have had "free" swimming all day at a nice pool in town. So, we have been doing that a lot with Little Bit, too. They all LOVE to be in the water!!

We went last week with some friend to the Cotton Belt Depot Museum. Very interesting! The kids enjoyed looking at all the train models and even got to "drive" one of the model trains around the tracks. Caboose wore his "Train" outfit for the occasion! We always love doing outings with friends!

Caboose tried cereal for the first time this last week. Here he is before - his "deer in the headlights" look...

...and here he is afterwards. He didn't take to it too well. We are still practicing!

We finally figured out how Caboose fell out of his swing a while back. He obviously thinks it is fun to kick the tray up! We now buckle him completely in...and would have then, if we had only known what he was capable of! They can SO catch you unaware!

Just some random, cute pictures of the kids...

We love summer!
