We have spent more of Caboose's life IN therapy than out. When we began this process at the end of July last year, we NEVER thought it would be this long! We just completed 9 months and around 45 sessions with Peyton and Ashley. We are going to REALLY miss them! Especially Peyton because Caboose spent much more time with her. He loves her and reaches for her each time we arrive. She baby-talks with him, lets him pick what he wants to play with, and yet gets a good workout in for him. She hugs him, loves him, and treats him as if he were her own. And, that is such a good feeling for a mother!
Both therapists have become a part of our lives and it is kind of sad to see that go. You know, when we first started this journey last summer, we prayed for God to guide our steps to THE right people to help us along our way. Plagiocephaly and torticollis were so new to us! God, as always, answered our prayers and has blessed us so mightily in this! He started with a sweet friend of ours, Nicole. Being a therapist herself, she was able to help us diagnose the torticollis problem, explain the process and what needed to be done, and direct us to Children's Therapy Services and to Ashley. Knowing that Ashley was a Christian made us immediately more trusting and at ease, and God has continued to plant the right people in our path. Ashley could only work with Caboose once a week, so we needed another therapist. What a blessing to get Peyton! She is the sweetest person ever and has persevered with us even as Caboose went through his separation anxiety stage. We are beyond blessed!
So, I just thought I would update as we get near to the completion of his therapy. He has made so much progress and I *think* they are just as sad to see Caboose go! :-)
