What joy and love you have brought to our lives! We had no idea how FULL our lives could be with such a small 6 pound bundle. Mommie and Daddy are just so amazed at how fast the years fly. You came into our world just a few minutes past midnight and we were so excited, we couldn't even sleep the rest of the night. We were the typical first-time parents, feeling like we needed permission to pick you up, change your clothes, or take you for an outing. Reality set in quickly, though, and we have never been more blessed than by your presence in our lives. It seems like yesterday it was just me and you hanging out every day while Daddy worked. You became my companion, the one who shopped with me, watched me talk to you (until you learned to talk and join in!), and ordered my schedule day after day. Those first special years are ones we may never experience again but we will always hold those memories close in our hearts.
We've watch you grow into such a caring, helpful, and nurturing big sister. You never for one moment were jealous of baby Smiley and later baby Little Bit. You embraced your role with an enthusiasm and a maturity not found very often in ones so young. God created you with this deep understanding of spiritual truths and what is right or wrong. He spoke to your heart at such a young age and we have been astounded, at times, at your grasp of concepts adults even have a hard time accepting. We thank God for your quiet, sweet spirit, your intense loyalty, and your determination to never give up - whether it's learning how to master the pogo stick or how to minister to a friend in need.
Sweet baby girl...you may be 9 years old today, but you will always be our bundle of great joy. We pray that you will always look to God for guidance and strength and that you will always use your many, many talents to reach others for His kingdom. We hope you know how very proud we are of you and how very much we love you.
