The Arboretum

We were able to spend the day in Dallas recently, and we visited The Dallas Arboretum and Dallas Heritage Village. We had an even greater time because my mom and my nephew went with us! Cappie and Connar are adored by our kids!!

The flowers at the Arboretum were breath-taking. CS and I hadn't been since ACat was about 2 years old. We went several times while living in the DFW area. The tulips, hyacinths, forsythias, etc. were gorgeous!

The Arboretum had special displays of Fairytale Castles...Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin, the Little Mermaid, etc. The kids enjoyed locating them with the map and running around the castles. It was a nice touch!

Dallas Heritage Village is a neat place to go. We only had time for about half of the exhibits, and the kids all loved it! They recreated an 1800s town, and visitors can walk inside the stores, homes, school house, church, etc. I think there were a total of 38 buildings! Very educational and fun!

We love making memories!
