The countdown is on...3 weeks left

Wow - I can't believe we only have 3 more weeks of summer! I had to explain to Smiley today that summer does not include all of August. She was disappointed with that statement, as she felt "safe" for over another month! She doesn't like the thought of less than a month until 1st grade! She would much rather be playing or watching a favorite movie!

We still have some exciting events before summer if officially over. One is coming up this next weekend. We have company coming to town! Some of our close friends from A&M days are coming to visit. This was the group CS hung out with and I was absorbed into when we began dating. We've gone several different directions, had many kids amongst us, and are looking forward to reconnecting again this weekend. We attended last month the wedding of one friend. And, so we had a chance to visit then, too. Twice in one summer - yea!

CS's best friend from childhood is one of the ones coming (with his family). Our girls are anxiously awaiting their arrival since they also have 3 girls. Two best friends producing 6 girls - WOW!! Each girl has a friend to pair off with for play. Perfect!
