A Whirlwind of a Day

What a day! It was the girls' annual dance recital today. We were fortunate that ACat and Smiley were in the same recital...we only had to attend one of the four recitals! Yea!! Smiley was in a ballet routine to "Children of the World." She and a friend were dressed from the country Switzerland (pairs of girls had costumes on from various countries from around the world). ACat was in a jazz routine to the song "Purple People Eater" - what a hoot! She was so excited to be one of three to do the splits at the end. The icing on the cake!

The girls were "practically perfect in every way", to quote Mary Poppins. CS, Cappie, and I enjoyed watching their dances, in spite of all the hoopla to get parking spots and seats in the auditorium (whew!). Smiley has a couple of close friends in her dance class, so they were obviously there. ACat's two best friends came to watch her dance! Wasn't that sweet and special!?! It's nice to have such supportive friends!

Little Bit intently watched the "Pharaoh, Pharaoh" routine at the recital. At the end of the dance, she looked at me and declared, "I could do that one!" Considering that Little Bit has mastered the splits, just like ACat had to learn for her dance routine, I wouldn't doubt that she could do it. You are too good, baby!
