We had a wonderful, relaxing time in Denver on the second week of our vacation. Aunt Kitty Kat, Uncle Jason, Houston, Jacob, and Grammy were so hospitable, and we loved every minute we spent with them. What did we do? What did we NOT do?!?!
The guys took the girls to the Denver Natural History and Science Museum to see a Pirates exhibit (Kat and I took the boys shopping!). Everyone went to White Fence Farm...a family style restaurant, kind of like Slogar's in Crested Butte. But, White Fence Farm has a playground, a petting farm, a pond to feed the ducks, little shops, and a pig chute (slide)! The kids really had a blast there and the food was GREAT!
We went to the Butterfly Museum to see Rosie the Tarantula (we HAVE to go each time we are in Denver, according to Smiley!).
We had a date night for the 2 couples...lots of grown-up time and conversation! Grammy and I took the kids to Boulder to shop their outdoor shops and mall. I have never had so much fun!! I needed many more hours to cover the quaint shops and cool places! The most fun was a spice shop...they hand grind fresh spices. Kat and her mom have been going there for a little while now and they said they will never go back to the "old" kind of spices you get from the grocery store. So, I stocked up on some basics to try out - parsley, basil, oregano, garlic salt, and some taco seasoning. Boulder is an "earthy" place - tree-huggers, the residents are called! We saw some interesting people there! The kids even got to climb on some animals...a little respite from the shopping!
We even got to see the Statue of Liberty!! Well, at Red Robin, a gourmet hamburger place. It was yummy!
Here are my and Kat's kids...all 6 of them! Grammy made them each a set of pajamas...Aggie ones, of course! We took SOOOOO many pictures, trying to get just ONE of them all looking at the camera. Exhausting! :-)
Caboose is just 6 months older than Jacob, but look at the difference in their feet!
We so look forward to our trips to Colorado, especially Denver. We made wonderful memories and are already looking forward to the next venture there!

Looks like fun. I bet it was hard to come back to Texas where it was 172*!
